Vollebekk Fabrikker is a concept that uses unused premises to stimulate sustainable urban development where we promote / support / promote circular economy, social entrepreneurship and the neighborhood. . The factory is located at Brobekkveien 54 in Oslo and was opened on March 10, 2018.

WHAT ARE VOLLEBEKK FABRIKKER?

Vollebekk Fabrikker is part of an urban development project of Vollebekk, where large parts of the area will be transformed into a greener district. Vollebekk Fabrikker will help create lasting value and sustainable development in Vollebekk, with a focus on the triple bottom line that promotes the environment, social values ​​and economic growth.

Vollebekk Fabrikker is the result of an innovative collaboration across public, private and voluntary networks. Vollebekk Fabrikkers partners are Bydel Bjerke, OBOS, Aspelin Ramm and Pådriv.

WORKSHOP AND INCUBATOR

Vollebekk Fabrikker is a temporary place for the development and incubation of solutions within reuse, repair and green production. By offering both production premises and offices at an affordable rent, Vollebekk Fabrikker will make it possible for residents, businesses and contractors to develop, test and demonstrate their solutions.

LEARNING, WORK AND COMMUNICATION

The place wants to promote knowledge sharing, provide education and inspiration for sustainable growth in Norwegian business life. Through knowledge sharing and activities, we will connect residents, entrepreneurs and established businesses, and create increased interest in the circular economy. Vollebekk Factories is also becoming a place for work training and inclusion, where collaboration between the business community, OBOS, Aspelin Ramm, Pådriv and Bydel Bjerke will provide great opportunities.

ACTIVATE THE LOCAL ENVIRONMENT

Vollebekk factories want to activate the local environment by collaborating with e.g. schools, kindergartens, voluntary organizations and other local actors around various projects such as creative workshop, change day, repair workshop, skateboard repair shop and the like, in addition to the daily operation and production that is in the hall.

OPEN HOUSE & ACTIVITIES

Vollebekk projects want to be a living workplace and a meeting place where projects and solutions can be tested within circular economy, sharing economy, reuse, repair and creative workshop. Each project can vary in size and length.

Vollebekk factories will also open their doors and invite participants to arrange mini-workshops and low-threshold activities for children, young people and people in the local community. The place will be an arena where as many as possible, and especially children and young people, will experience creative joy and mastery through creative work.

Vollebekk factories also want to invite to Pop-up exhibitions, lectures, inspiration evenings and will collaborate with several actors to share knowledge and inspiration around topics: repair, reuse and circular production.
